HAPPY HUES

To these homeowners, coral is a warm, energetic and happy color and certainly one of their favorites. It naturally became a consistent part of their decorating and fabric selections, and as such, a color flowing throughout their house.

In the office, a vibrant coral paint adorns the walls, while the many large windows surrounding the room prevent it from overwhelming the space. The white lacquered writing desk and cheetah print rug complete the space, creating a sophisticated but fun home office.

In the adjacent living room, the color coral was used as an accent to compliment the adjoining office.

Bespoke velvet pillows sit atop custom slipper chairs upholstered in Schumacher’s colorful Chiang Mai Dragon print, while coral tape and gimp decorate the leading edge of the natural linen drapes. The unique combination of colors, patterns, textures and surfaces, including the tufted navy velvet sofa and cool gray rug, create a lively and welcoming space.

Travelling through the house to the family room, a darker coral color can again be found as an accent color, painted at the back of the built in bookcases to coordinate with a Morrocan rug from the homeowners’ travels. Custom print and solid pillows, oversized for comfort, adorn the sectional which the graphic blue rug balances the large sectional and grounds the space.
