KITCHEN  (LESS THAN 300 SQ FT)

With its yellow walls, stenciled flower motifs and old formica, this kitchen renovation was long overdue. To better meet the needs of their blended and growing family, these homeowners sought to improve the kitchen’s functionality, accessibility and flow as well as the aesthetic.

This was accomplished by removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, reconfiguring and expanding the footprint into the breakfast area and creating a more casual dining area.

A large center island with comfortable stools offers flexibility and convenience for meal preparation, a quick morning breakfast or a gathering of grandchildren.

Pewter-glazed white cabinetry, granite countertops, Carrara marble backsplash tiles and wood floors provide classic, timeless appeal. Polished nickel lanterns, a cozy window seat and cheerful (yet durable!) fabrics in a crisp blue and white add charm and warmth while coordinating with the palettes of blue throughout the house. The newly designed kitchen will be home to many happy family gatherings and events for years to come!
