KITCHEN (LESS THAN 300 SQ FT)
Young Family, Modern Kitchen
The goal of this kitchen renovation was to transition the space from clunky to streamlined to better accommodate this young family’s modern aesthetic. The first step of this remodel was to remove the wall separating the family room. With this newly expanded sight line, the space felt immediately larger and brighter and opened into the adjacent bar. The island was replaced by another containing numerous appliances including a prep sink and second dishwasher as well as a bar-height counter and ample seating.
Custom cabinets were built in a wood grain horizontal gray laminate while the low-profile hardware and hood add to the modern aesthetic. Waterfall countertops in a cool white quartz highlight the dark gray of the island cabinetry and compliment the new pale gray wood flooring. The dramatic herringbone-patterned marble backsplash and crystal pendant lights complete the contemporary look.
Custom-sized for three Yorkshire terriers, this built-in dog crate boasts mesh panel doors which open and slide back for hassle-free living. This alongside a custom iron and glass dining table make this modern kitchen truly unique.
